A Certification Authority is a trusted entity,duly accredited and published by the competent National Authority, responsible for providing electronic certification services.

Qualified Electronic Certificates
Publish and facilitate access to the validity status of certificates.
Guarantee the veracity of the information included in the certificates.
Guarantee the identity of the information included in the certificates.
Revoke certificates when it is aware that the security of the system has been compromised.
Manage the Public Key Infrastructure in accordance with the legal and technical standards in force at all times.

ANF AC's PKI has been designed following international standards and recommendations.


ANF AC's PKI is audited annually by European CABs, under REGULATION (EU) 910/2014 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL, of July 23, 2014 and accredited by the Government of Spain.

ANF AC was the first CA in Spain to obtain accreditation. In our more than 20 years of history, ANF AC has not had any impact on any of the trust services provided.

Our services are fully interoperable throughout the European Union and third countries of LATAM, where ANF AC has subsidiaries or interoperability agreements.

Depending on the legislation of each country, CA's receive different denominations:
  • Trusted Service Provider (EU)
  • Information and Related Services Certification Entity (Ecuador)
  • Digital Certification Service Provider (Peru).

Regardless of the denomination agreed in each country, the functions in the provision of these services is common in all countries,, having as a basic guide the UNCITRAL Model Law on electronic signatures (UNCITRAL is the main legal body of the United Nations).
