Solve all your questions
How can I make a handwritten signature (rubric)?
You can create handwritten signatures using the “Handwritten Signature” function on the platform. This allows you to draw your signature on paper—either from your smartphone or directly on your computer.Â
Attention! Don’t confuse creating a digital handwritten signature with the legal effect of a traditional handwritten signature.Â
Do you have questions? We explain this in detail on our legal blog.Â
Can I use my mobile phone’s touchscreen to sign with my finger?
Of course! This option is available for your customers and recipients. It’s convenient and extremely easy to use.
Will I be notified when the recipient signs?
Absolutely. We keep you informed at all times about the status of the delivery and send you a notification as soon as the recipient completes the process.Â
Can I cancel a document once it has been sent?
Yes. You can cancel a document as long as it has not yet been signed by all parties. If needed, you can also resend the document by following the steps provided in the platform.
What are the differences between a biometric signature and an electronic signature?
It’s easier to highlight what they share: both are intended to identify the author and confirm intent, serving as proof of authorship and declaration. In essence, the signature establishes the link between the signer and the signed document.
What does this allow you to do?
- Deliver attachments via certified email and SMS.Â
- Ensure full traceability of all transactions.Â
- Give recipients direct access to documents.Â
- No registration or account required for the recipient.Â
- Delivery via download from the ANF AC® eBurofax web platform.Â
- Option to include 2FA requirements for access to encrypted documentation.Â
- Automatic generation of informed consent records (GDPR).Â
- Option to send encrypted data and documents.Â
- Provide proof of content authenticity before a court of law.Â
- Allow recipients to respond, if enabled by the sender.Â
- Option for the sender to decide whether to accept a response, including setting a deadline.Â
Can I add multiple recipients?
Yes. You can add up to 5 recipients and signatories. For more than 5, there is also a Bulk Delivery option.
Who issues the certified delivery evidence?
The ANF Certification Authority, as a Qualified Trust Services Provider (QTSP), is responsible for managing the service, generating the evidence, and certifying it with a long-term qualified electronic signature.
Regulatory compliance
Our PKI platform is developed in accordance with Regulation (EU) 910/2014, Spain’s Electronic Signature Law, ETSI standards, ISO 27001, and data protection legislation (GDPR and LOPD). A Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) has also been conducted.
Is it possible to track the sending and signing process?
Yes. You can track the status of a shipment in real time through the details view of the selected shipment. To access, simply select the command from your main screen. If you want to know whether the order has been completed, don’t worry—we’ll notify you as soon as it is signed.
Judicial proceedings
ANF Certification Authority has legal experts capable of preparing expert reports, ratifying them, and providing testimony in court.
What can be certified?
All evidence issued by this certified delivery service carries full legal value and evidentiary effect. Each item is authenticated by qualified electronic signatures, which are legally equivalent to handwritten signatures.Â
We advise extreme caution with providers offering only advanced signatures, citing “ease of use.” Both advanced and qualified signatures are equally simple to use—the difference is that the provider must have QSCD (Qualified Signature Creation Device) technology and be able to operate it. ANF AC has QSCD technology. When choosing a provider, we recommend carefully reviewing the legal aspects of this essential instrument.Â
Is it possible to send multiple documents at once?
Yes.
Are submissions encrypted?
Yes. All SigntoSign shipments are encrypted and transmitted through a secure channel.
Do all users of the platform, senders and recipients, need accounts?
Only senders must have an active account in SigntoSign. Recipients of your shipments do not need to be registered on the platform.
Is Sign-to-Sign compatible with all browsers?
Yes. Sign-to-Sign is compatible with all major browsers.
Is there an option to create default templates?
Yes. You can create default templates and reuse them as many times as needed.
Why use a validation service?
- Warranty and coverage: Ensure, with all the guarantees of a professional Trust Service Provider, that the electronic signatures and certificates used in your company’s documents are legally valid.Â
- In short: make sure the signature applied truly holds legal validity—and enjoy peace of mind.Â
What is consent collection, and what is the difference between express and explicit consent in Sign-to-Sign®?
- Consent is a clear, positive, and active act by the individual, indicating unequivocal agreement to the processing of their data.Â
- Explicit consent is a reinforced form of consent that must be collected clearly and precisely, especially where there is a significant risk to data protection. It is required, at minimum, in the following cases:Â
- Processing of special categories of data (Art. 9 GDPR)Â
- Automated decision-making (Art. 22 GDPR)Â
- International data transfers (Chapter V, Art. 44 GDPR)Â
How does file encryption work in Sign-to-Sign®, and how can I attach encrypted files?
When configuring a shipment, Sign-to-Sign® allows you to attach additional files to the main document. These files are securely encrypted, are provided only as references or supporting material, and do not require the recipient’s signature.Â
- Encryption technology: Files are encrypted using AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) with a 256-bit key.Â
- Recipient access: Files can be downloaded within the validity period defined by the sender, through a secure web gateway, with password protection.Â
Steps to attach encrypted files in Sign-to-Sign®:Â
- In the sending settings, click “Attach files” and select the desired files.Â
- Check the box “Encrypt files.”Â
- Set the password generation method.Â
- Define the lifetime or expiration date of the shipment.Â
The encrypted files will be delivered via a separate gateway from the signed document, and recipients will access them through the notification email of the signing order.Â
