Do gambling operator in Spain?

Starting in September 2025, the Directorate General for the Regulation of Gambling (DGOJ) will require the use of a qualified electronic certificate for all official communications with its services. 

 

This means that:

Only qualified certificates, with full legal validity, will be accepted. 

Without this certificate, it will not be possible to submit requests or validate players before the DGOJ. 

The Directorate General for the regulation of the Game requires the use of a certificate to:

Bookies online

Online Casinos

Platforms bingo and interactive games

Key requirement

All SOAP requests to the player verification service must be electronically signed. 

Starting in September 2025, self-signed certificates will no longer be accepted. 

The certificate must be issued by a Qualified Trust Service Provider included in the EU Trusted List (EUTL). 

Electronic signatures ensure authenticity, integrity, and regulatory compliance.
