Accountex 2024 Roundtable
The relationships between law firms, clients, and the public administration have changed. Constant regulatory changes, both present and future, are leading us toward a scenario of e-governance and processes, making it essential to commit to mature digitalization and the integration of new technologies. Legal security and, consequently, Digital Identity, are a key element.
This was the central theme of the round table discussion “New paradigm in the relationship between law firms, clients, and public authorities” held at Accountex 2024, which was attended by Álvaro Díaz Baño, director of business development at ANF AC.
The meeting, led by SAGE, was also attended by other leading figures from the legal, technology, and public administration sectors, such as José Miguel Garía Aguilar, director of strategy and product for SMEs at Legálitas; Cristina Arias Borque, head of market development at Lefebvre; and Pablo Peche Múgica, director and founder of TGS Edisa and Autodespro consultancies.
During the event, we analyzed the clear commitment of the European Union and public authorities to achieving complete e-government, in which all day-to-day business processes and transactions are carried out electronically. with full legal effectiveness and cybersecurity resolved.
This trend, which will continue to grow and advance in the coming years with increased requirements and regulations, means that companies will need to adapt tools and solutions developed by technology partners in the legal IT sector to adapt to regulatory changes, achieve complete and mature digitalization, and automate their processes, thus enabling greater growth and time efficiency. During his presentation, Álvaro Díaz explained how ANF AC, the first CA authorized in 2000, has championed and experienced the new, increasingly demanding and far-reaching requirements.
It was demonstrated how Digital Identity in its electronic certificate format is the basic pillar of legal security, being the essential tool to achieve it, also demonstrating that, far from serving only to identify people and companies, it provides them with the capacity to automatically intervene in all processes of the company’s life cycle.
